The last decade of the eighteenth century is a rather gram age as a goldsmith production: in addition to the commissions scarce raw materials, so the artisans are forced to a continuous recycling of old jewelry, periodically disassembled and reassembled according to more current styles.

Not many pieces of that era that have come down to us are easily recognizable due to the particular setting “at night” of the stones, placed inside a metal cap and then open only on the front of the jewel.
